Provider

API base URL The base URL of your OpenAI-compatible API, usually ending in /v1 — e.g. http://localhost:1234/v1 (LM Studio) or http://localhost:11434/v1 (Ollama). Requests are sent from the DayCarp server, so “localhost” means the machine DayCarp runs on.

Model name The exact model identifier your server expects.

API key Stored encrypted and only used for your AI requests.

Capture a meeting into your notes as a transcript with an AI summary you can chat with. Audio is never stored, only the text.

Transcription

Speech model Downloaded once, then cached by your browser. Runs entirely on your computer.

Meeting language

Microphone Remembered on this computer. DayCarp uses it whenever it's connected, and your system default otherwise.

API base URL Any OpenAI-compatible /audio/transcriptions API, e.g. https://api.openai.com/v1 or https://api.groq.com/openai/v1

API key Stored encrypted. Audio passes through DayCarp to this provider and is never stored.

Tell speakers apart Labels lines Speaker 1, Speaker 2… Adds a small download and some CPU during the meeting.

A tiny menu-bar / tray app that captures what the other participants say in Zoom, Google Meet, Teams or any other app, and streams it to this tab. It only listens while a meeting is being captured.
